Just ate 8200 kcals today - what about you?

Dunno how I did it… but somehow I craved all kinds of keto foods today and just let go completely.

Macros are 827g fat, 166g protein, 29g carbs. The kicker(s) are: 250 grams butter, 150g olive oil, 1kg (!) triple cream camembert cheese.

That’s my biggest keto cheat day so far. My previous record was around 7000 kcals and even then I though something was off.

The good thing is: Everything was keto friendly. I had a day where I ate 180g of protein and didn’t get kicked out of ketosis, because I ate much fat (yes, GNC is demand-driven, folks!).

What’s been your biggest cheat day kcal-wise?

No idea, I don’t count anymore :joy:
Feels like I’ve eaten loads though.

You’ll have a nice bump in metabolism!

And put on a looooot of water weight tomorrow considering the sodium… lol

Tell us how you feel the next day, after eating all that, Zimon.

I think my worst day was when I found a recipe for Keto egg nog. It was supposed to be 4 servings and I started drinking it and could not stop. It was not particularly good and apparently had I let it sit, it would have been much tastier the next day

I have not started my full Keto diet yet but being on a Medetarean diet I can fully understand how easy it is to go overboard on calories if you are not careful. Most of the food that is not vegetable based contains a lot of calories, so you have to be really mindful of portions.

Being used to stuff my face with fruits, popcorn, chips and all sort of junk, you can eat a lot of it because they don’t contain that many calories per gram. But now that I eat nut, I could easily eat 2000 calories of nuts without noticing ! So measure those carefully and never just dig in a bag which watching tv, I know I would eat the whole bag if I did not pay attention.

The good thing is you did not go out of Ketosis, I am really eager to enter it myself

Okay, it’s the next morning and apart from a little headache because of the sodium, I feel fine. I notice quite a full intestinal area and I gotta go number 2 pretty soon I am sure. Gonna check my ketones soon to see whether the protein did any damage.

Holy ****! Ketone levels are through the roof. I blew the maximum amount with my two cheap breathalizers and my urine ketones are dark purple, despite my pee being very watery (drank a lot of water yesterday to make sure I offset the sodium). Unfortunately, I don’t have my blood testing device, yet. I am very positive I am still in ketosis. In fact, it seems like deeper than ever. Perhaps this has to do with the ratio of the macros: 91% of the calories came from fat according to MyFitnessPal.

My headaches have also subsided now. I drank a lot of water and had a “quark” with 40% fat with coconut oil for breakfast (for all non-Europeans, not knowing what quark is: click. Feeling quite splendid.

I know, who care about weight but: I weighed 66,6kg before the feast, and weigh 68,1 today. Considering a lot of this is water weight and I had a massive number 2 after the weigh-in, it could well be that there won’t be any weight gain associated with my keto-friendly cheat day.
