Yesterday, I ate an ounce of butter like it was cheese because my calories were too low, but my carbs and protein were full. I sure didn’t enjoy that and won’t be doing that again. I just had to tell someone who would understand!
I have been somewhere between low carb and keto for two months now. I was doing calorie restriction the first month, and probably the second month as well, but I did up my calories the second month (from 1600 to 1900 average). I went to Iceland for a week, and I ate a lot of carbs. Everything was expensive, so I ate the bread. No regrets. My weight went up a bit when I got home, but went back down almost immediately. Iceland was beautiful, and I recommend you go there at least once. It was also cold, wet and windy half the time, and though I loved it, I don’t think I want to go back. I mean, I wish work would send me back for 3 days…that would be cool, but I don’t see it happening.
I’ve lost a little over 15 pounds total. I’m really pleased.
