I've been really hungry for the last 2 days

I don’t want to be gross but it started happening after I did a colon cleanse. Oh well.

I’ve been eating a lot of eggs, bacon, hamburger, avocado. Nothing seems to be helping much except the bacon and eggs.

So about 45 minutes ago I ate 2 tablespoons of peanut butter mixed with coconut oil and some stevia and notice that almost instantly I felt better! Now I’m feeling a little hungry again and may have to do this again.

I know I need to go out and get some vegis. I bought the wrong big salad and I really loathe the prickly stuff but didn’t get a chance to get to the market today. I’ll go tomorrow and make some saute’d spinach and mushrooms and maybe turnips!

I had heard about eating fat to stave off hunger here. And then I just thought about the fiber. Any other ideas I haven’t heard of? I wrote before about how I hadn’t lost any weight after 3 weeks and, basically I fell off the diet for about a week and gained but when I started again I wasn’t hungry much at all and ate a lot less and have lost about 8 pounds now and I’m very happy about it.

You are hungry because there are carbs in your consumption or your cleanse, you feel better because you ate carbs.

If you want real results then drop the peanuts butter and drop the artificial sweeteners, not to mention what ever was in the cleanse.

Stick with core known ingredients and you’ll be over the carb withdrawal in a few days.

I’m sorry but there is not a lot of carbs anywhere. The cleanse is just a capsule with aloe, cascara, senna and other stuff that equals 585 mg of heavy laxatives. I don’t take any fibers because I know they would be carbs.

And the Peanut butter is not sweetened, I ad my own liquid pure stevia which is zero carbs. It is 4 net carbs for 2 tablespoons, which is what I ate. Considering that the only other things I ate today are meat, cheese eggs and mayonnaise I am very low on carbs. (My mayo is 0 carbs)

You’re right. There’s nothing wrong with unsweetened peanut butter in moderation (if you can do it in moderation).
Artificial sweetners may be another story. Even though there are no carbs, they have been shown to raise insulin levels on some people.

Here’s my advise:
If you’re hungry, eat more! Eat lots more fat. Pure and simple. Listen to your body. It needs more fuel right now, even if you don’t understand why.

Peanut butter and artificial sweetener stall me, also make me very hungry!

Part of the reason you are hungry is that all the protein and fat you ate before the cleanse got flushed from your colon before it could be absorbed. This is common after any sort of cleanse, and no matter which end you put the cleanser into.

If you want to get over your hunger, eat fat. Your body needs energy, and you are not fat-adapted enough, apparently, to be taking it from your fat stores right now, so get a couple of rib-eye steaks, grill them up in bacon grease, lard, or butter, put them on a plate and slather them with butter, and eat until you are full. If you absolutely cannot exist without carbohydrate (I’m speaking mentally; physically you can do completely without it), then make a salad and pour on blue cheese dressing. If you have to choose between the last bit of dressing and the last bite of lettuce, go for the dressing. If you need a dessert, have a slice of double-cream Brie with butter on it and a cup of coffee and heavy cream.

You may have to overeat for a while to get your metabolism back on track, but eventually your satiety signaling will kick in and you will automatically dial back to a level that will keep your body satisfied and still allow it to burn off extra fat.

With all due respect to the Kellogg brothers, you do not need to eat fiber. If you were to go zero carb/carnivore, I’ll bet you would find your digestion better and more regular without any fiber than with it.

Speaking of the Kellogg brothers, I’ll spare you my rant on their psychological weirdness. But I will just say that I consider their fixation on feces and their religion-based aversion to meat to make them unreliable guides to proper human nutrition.

That makes a lot of sense. This is not the first time I’ve gotten very hungry after taking something to “clean me out” I just ate 4 slices of bacon and feel better. And I do have grass fed rib eyes in the freezer that I can un-freeze for tomorrow! Yea!

Make sure you keep hydrated as well with plenty of decent water and salt.

If you are hungry take a shot of heavy cream.
