It's the holiday and I Screwed up

#21

You and me both, sister.

#22

I’m going to continue with keto and take it one day at a time. I will say this I feel shit right now.lol

#23

Of course, I might still crave it, but at least I got the chance to taste it instead of being ignorant/deprived.

@Msmimi2424 3 x 42 is start your fast after your evening meal. Fast the whole next day. Then have lunch and dinner the next day. Start 2nd 42 after your dinner…repeat.

I see what you’re saying! And in this situation, I love to eat grapes!

(Marta Loftfield) #26

@Msmimi2424 please do not be so hard on yourself. This is a process and I truly believe you learn the most from your errors. I physically feel so bad after eating lots of carbs now that I do not want them if they are available because I know I will suffer later.

THIS. Keto is for life and no-one is perfect every day. I certainly learn more from my mistakes.

Also, feel free to ignore the terrible advice from the Panda… no need to risk a real cascade off the wagon that involves chopping the wagon into kindling. Plenty of others report that one slip can easily become 2 meals, then 2 days and then 2 weeks before they know it if that is how they are. It isn’t for me but I still wouldn’t “take the opportunity to clean out the cupboards of carbs by eating them”… he still thinks keto is too restrictive and invokes a high price on its practitioners.

Well, my opinion is based on the fact that when you are in, you basically need to say goodbye to the sweet food.

So, since one is out, one might as well take this chance to enjoy first. But of course, one needs to set the duration, and during the duration, do lots of preparation for the keto life later. Then when the duration is out, you tell yourself: now, all the preparation is here, don’t make all preparation wasted anymore.

And the reason why I said something like “clean out by eating them” is not to waste the money and the food: after all, they are purchased with money already.

Anyway, what do you mean by that?

(Rob) #29

Your plan doesn’t need explanation… it is very very obvious as is the logic. It is also potentially dangerous for anyone susceptible to carb bingeing.

My final statement is an idiomatic way of saying having more carbs than you’ve already binged has the potential to create a much more serious breakdown…

#30

Like what kind of breakdown?

#31

Ok. Thanks a bunch

#32

Thank you. Now i understand about eating a boat load of carbs. It feels like a hangover…lol

#33

During the fast what can i drink other than water and tea. Is coffee with heavy cream ok and unsweetened almond milk

(Brian) #34

Yesterday was a holiday and you binged. Today is not a holiday so don’t binge. The end.
