It's not just in my head, is it?

I started ‘keto’ a week ago - mostly because I found myself addicted to sugar and I realised I was slowly decaying my insides. I say ‘keto’ because I probably screwed up here and there but for the most part, I stuck to it.

Anyhow, in the last 2-3 days I’ve felt…like a person who actually enjoys life and has energy and wakes up not miserable.

I’m 5 months post partum - I suspected PND but didn’t feel like that was really the case so I thought I’d change my diet. Surely it’s not just in my head? I feel so much better, hallelujah

Welcome WHIP.

It was the difference between suriviving life and living it for me. Once I stopped poisoning myself, it’s pretty amazing how quickly my body recovered. I know processed foods were holding the real me hostage.

I do not think it is just in your head.

This is good news but, don’t let a downturn pull you off course.

You may be a lucky one that escapes “Keto flu” symptoms and only feels the upsides of things like mental clarity, more energy and positive attitude (congratulations!).

But, in the next few days or next week - the “Keto flu” symptoms may show up. Mentally prepare for it just in case to avoid becoming discouraged and quitting.

By two months, it seems that just about everyone that sticks with Keto through the “flu” symptoms has only more upsides without downsides.

FYI - Some people think “Keto flu” is a negative term and would rather think of it as “carbohydrate withdrawal symptoms”. But, I think it is easier to search for the symptom list if you search for “Keto flu” if you are interested.

No, it’s not just in your head. It’s amazing how feeding your body quality foods and cutting out the carbage can make you feel. That mild, feel like crap all of the time sensation goes away pretty quickly and makes life easier. Glad you’re feeling better and welcome!

I don’t think I had “keto flu” I feel fine 3 weeks in.

I felt amazing from the beginning and never had keto flu!
Probably because I was a saltaholic! So nice to be redeemed!
Also did IF most of my life cept I called it “not being a breakfast person”!
