It's could be the bacon
Funny how the article praises the benefits of bacon, and last paragraph is this:
“But it’s important to keep everything in moderation—we wouldn’t be Men’s Health if we didn’t say that—and to combine your clean, locally sourced bacon with plenty of fiber- and antioxidant-rich vegetables, fruits, and whole grains, says Miller. Benjamin’s other age-defying staples—sauerkraut and potatoes—don’t exactly fit the bill, but hey, close enough. And who are we to question a 109-year-old?”
I saw that they went off grid for a while, I was thrilled at the headline the most. Not even sure I want to live to 109.
Love these stories. I remember one a doctor told about an old patient that sheepishly told the doctor that he ate at least half a dozen eggs every day.
Here one about a 117 year old that eats two eggs every day:
I most definitely do not want to live that long. I’ll eat bacon until I croak, but man… that’s just too long to hang around for me.
