Is young coconut flesh okay for a keto diet?

Hi I’m new here. And just started a No-Carb-High-Fat regimen after Christmas (yeah I went cold turkey :open_mouth:) First few days were tough especially the lack of bowel movement & nausea, both of which I’ve learnt to deal with.

I’ve googled but there’s very little info on young coconut flesh. I guess members in places like Hawaii or similar might know the answer to my question.

I ask because I know that coconut oil is extracted from the flesh of coconuts. Here’s a video of a traditional method in Sri Lanka or India And grated coconut flesh is probably 90% fiber? I’ve also seen recommendations of “coconut chips” as a snack

So is young coconut flesh OK if you’re on LCHF ? Thanks

One cup of raw, shredded coconut meat (approximately 80g) contains 12g of carbohydrates, 7g of which are dietary fibre and the remaining 5g are sugar. So, technically, you could, but if you lack self-control to restrict your intake, you will likely sabotage yourself.
