Is This the Saddest Thing?

('Jackie P') #1

I have spent days clearing my bedroom ready for the carpet laying men.
Just one more thing to move … .

AHA! I see the scales! Hope the carpet fitting goes well!

I don’t know if yours are the same, but my scales need something tweaking according to whether they’re positioned on a hard floor or on carpet.

I’m covering that gorgeous chest of drawers, btw!

Well, I’m hoping they might be friendlier on carpet! I have 2 sets of scales, one is Renpho and linked to my phone, and these old ones. I won’t stand on the others unless my weight has gone down as it mucks up the trend :joy::joy::rofl::rofl:
Actually … maybe that’s the saddest thing :no_mouth:

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

My rule is that if I weigh myself, I have to record it.

So if I fear I might be out of my strict 4lb ideal range I’ll steer clear, so I don’t have to write it down! :rofl:

I’d move that thing right down to the basement where it can collect dust.

For seven months, since starting, I have not weighed myself (took a starting weight, but that was it). I detest the scale. The only time I know my weight is when I go to the doctors. If you rarely have to go, you may want to weigh yourself once a month or so, but you don’t have to be a slave to the scale - unless you are okay with it. It messes with my head too much. I’d get discouraged if I thought I wasn’t losing fast enough, if my weight was up, etc.

I agree with what you say! It’s sad I know :joy:
