Is this the grandma's underwear post?

(Richard Morris) #22

Plus exo ketones are like $30 for 7g of the stuff (half of which is usable - so 3.5g)

My liver makes 100g every day … so that’s a little over $850 that my liver makes every day just eating bacon and eggs.

(Michael Wallace Ellwood) #23

That’s just a cool $310,250 per year.

Maximum Respect!

(fubeca) #24

I don’t think KetoOS is from Utah are they?

(Chris Bair) #25

Based in Lindon in the former Noah’s reception center last time I checked.

(fubeca) #26

My brother-in-law works there now and it is actual a VR Experience called The Void. I’m pretty sure KetoOS is in Florida, but I think they are the only MLM not in Utah LOL

(Rob) #27

On the MLM front a major theory goes that the high proportion of Mormons in Utah, the highly networked nature of their communities, the 1950’s levels of female employment, etc. make Utah a prime local market for MLM to grow. There is a long history of herbal supplements in mainstream mormonism apparently.

On the supplements side, the #1 defender of snake oil and unregulated potions and powders is the senior senator from Utah, Orrin Hatch who pushed the regulations that kept supplements out of the grubby hands of the FDA and takes tons of money from Herbalife and other MLM behemoths. I’m sure that makes MLMs in this area feel safer being based in a state that will not legislate against them [conspiracy theory?].

(fubeca) #28

And everyone has a contact list ready to go, it’s called a Ward List

(Rob) #29

And I’ve heard they can create a down line and sell things to your entire family tree, alive and dead! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Full disclosure: a lot of my family and friends are Mormons and they are really great people.

(Chris Bair) #30

I’m super happy Orrin just announced his retirement. I’ve voted against him ever since the DMCA was passed, thank you very much =P

(G. Andrew Duthie) #31

Let’s please keep the politics to a minimum, folks…tends to make for more unpleasant threads.

KCKO!

(Brian) #32

It puzzles me that there are so many people looking for a miracle pill or potion. I guess it’s human nature.

(G. Andrew Duthie) #33

Especially puzzling, given that keto itself is about as close to magic as you’re likely to find. Reversing a host of painful and potentially debilitating or deadly conditions.

If keto was available in pill form it would be hailed as the greatest medicine ever produced. But as a lifestyle choice, it’s “too hard” and those of us who choose it are looked at funny.

I can live with that.

(Rob) #34

It can’t be magic if it’s free! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

(G. Andrew Duthie) #35

SO true. Exercise is another one of those things. If you took all of the benefits of a good exercise routine and put it in a pill, people would be lined up for miles to buy it. But tell them that they have to do the work consistently, and many won’t even try, others will try, find it hard, and give up, and a very small number will make the habit change.

And I’ll confess that I’m somewhat of a hypocrite on some of this, as getting proper sleep also fits into this category, and I can’t seem to get myself on a consistent sleep schedule, even knowing the many benefits of doing so.

(Zoe ) #36

Yes, what Richard said. You can make them yourself and they don’t cost nearly as much.
