Hi I need a little help today I have been starving since I woke up today. So hungry I feel like I could throw up! Until today I’ve been cruising not feeling hungry. I’m at work so tried eating a couple of pats of butter (Best I’ve got on hand) and still starving. My macros have been spot on.
Is this normal?
It happened to me once, thankfully I had macadamia nuts w me at work. I ate and drank and was ok. No idea why
Yup
Every couple of weeks I seem to have a day where I’m simply ravenous so I just eat more.
Some pink salt dissolved on tongue and chased with a big glass of water helps me sometimes.
I’ve been drinking a gallon a day and have been chugging water today just to try to knock it back
You could try supplementing your hunger with a little bit of protein (at work) like lunch meat (0 sugar) maybe with natural cheese rolled together and maybe a dash of sea salt or pink Himalayan Sea Salt (helps with hunger) in a keto bulletproof coffee (if you do that) and maybe stevia to sweeten (preferably no sweetener) to get the glucagon going to relieve the (possible?) hypoglycemic like feeling and symptoms?

”…The discovery of ghrelin was founded of the back of selective screening protocols for growth hormone (GH) secretagogues and led to the expression cloning of the GH secretagogue receptor (GHSR). In their search for novel peptides, Kojima and Kangawa (2013) used cell lines overexpressing GHSR to isolate and characterize a natural ligand from stomach extracts that they named ghrelin (ghre is the root word for grow). Ghrelin is a 28 amino acid polypeptide product that is principally synthesized from secretory cells in the stomach. It is acylated on its serine 3 residue by a medium-chain fatty acid octanoate mediated by a very specific transferase, later called ghrelin O-acyltransferase (GOAT). In addition to its role in regulating GH secretion, the expression pattern of the GHSR in various neuronal populations including brain stem suggested that it had a broader endocrine function. A model quickly developed after ghrelin levels were observed to fluctuate with feeding/fasting, and a role as a peripheral sensor of nutrition status acting via GHSRs in AgRP/NPY neurons in the basal arcuate nucleus was proposed. These neurons and their associated circuits are believed to be critical for mediating the effects of ghrelin both on food intake and in maintaining glucose homeostasis (Wang et al., 2014) …”
”…These data highlight that not only are the peripheral ghrelin-producing cells responsive to glucose levels, but the GHSR cells, predominantly in CNS, are likely to be highly sensitive to glycemic levels to provide necessary feedback. This is also consistent with existing CNS glucose-sensing neural networks that respond to release hormones and contribute to maintaining energy requirements. Currently, NPY/AgRP neurons are generally considered to be inhibited when glucose levels rise (Chalmers et al., 2014) and activated by ghrelin, suggesting that NPY/AgRP neural function and glucose homeostasis are maintained by a balance between these two energy status signaling pathways. …More
Question! On Keto I rarely get hungry -- but do other people never feel full?
Add lemon in your water along w the pink salt mentioned…and ice
To make it a lemonade😆, you can add stevia. For me 1/2 a packet Works fine
That could be too much, you only need to drink to thirst. Excess water will flush out more electrolytes and make you feel even worse.
I ended up on huge horse pills of potassium after drinking too much water.
Washed out my electrolytes. Serious muscle cramps.
Some water, excess drinking, advice out there is stupid. Drink to thirst. Good advice Allie

Thanks everyone. I’m guessing that the culprit is over hydrating. When I took my supplements and had a salty snacks it crushed most of my hunger. Today to my lunch I’m adding beef bullion with truffle oil to hopefully start balancing me out
try brushing your teeth or chewing gum. may also wanna get a cup of coffee or a hot tea. Stay Strong. YOU GOT THIS
