Is Keto a gateway drug to health or disordered eating?

Brilliant Justin. Not pulling the trigger is key. I’m not saying there isn’t such thing as genetic influences at all. But obviously they aren’t everything. And of course obesity isn’t always the cause of diabetes since TOFI people are contrary as well as Pacific Islanders who can be quite fatty without metabolic syndrome. :cowboy_hat_face:

That by itself is a great reason to stay with a keto way of eating (not that you seem at any risk of deviating from the path).

I worked in an aged care organisation that is considered a specialist in dementia research and care, and never did I hear anything about the link between a ketogentic diet and delaying the onset of dementia. :rage:

I went off keto for a couple of months. It was still low carb, but I think it was easy to get back to keto because I had been doing strict keto for a year and a half prior.

I’m also a fan of low carb. Once I get to goal weight, I’m sure I will be switching between low carb and keto.

Hmmm. I could see it going either way for different people, but for myself it really hasn’t made me swing either direction. I mean I still eat plenty of artificial sweeteners, and will eat some not so healthy fats, processed meats, etc.
I simply cut the carbs. Doing great. Love Keto :slightly_smiling_face:
