is anyone here who has done fecal microbiota transplantation?

No, but I talked to my ADHD psychiatrist about it this week, as it was talked about at a conference he was at last week.

Probably not helpful as it is not my direct experience but I have two friends who had it done as treatment for CIBO (sibo?) and it worked well for them.

I think it is not legal in America

It is legal in America. A close friend works for a gastroenterologist and explained how they “wash” the donation stool prior to administering to folks who are getting the transplant. Very interesting process!

Now does insurance cover it in America? I don’t know.

It is the major treatment for C.diff. A dear friend of mine had to go through it twice. I think I posted a link to my friend’s book about it on another thread you created?

I know some people think it would help them lose weight. It is a dramatic process and would be at the bottom of any list I made. Better to build up a healthy gut environment with pre and probiotic foods and supplements.

I do not know why I was under the impression that FDA does not approve it.

thanks for correcting me.

An elderly neighbor died of hospital contracted c diff two years ago and I wondered at the time why fecal transplant was not mentioned.
