Intermittent fasting/ switching it up

I just listened to 2 keto dudes interview with Megan Ramos titled “switching it up”.
She talked about how she and Jason Fung teach their patients to feast AND fast. Otherwise the body’s metabolism gets used to the amount of food it’s recievi and will plateau.
Has anyone had experience with this method?

I’ve been doing it for the last few weeks. Not planned, just drifted into it. Full day or two of water fasting to start the week, then days of 16/8 IF as well as days of eating how ever much I want. It works for me but still early days.

I have not been able to go out full day yet but I feel like the longer I practice fasting the better I get out it
