At 130 I ate 2 fried eggs. After the first one the second one didn’t want to go down. Kind like I was full already.
But 30 min later I wanted more food. I wanted a butter and low carb tortilla.
I had to have used about 2T butter and it went down with ease. Oh and I’m still hungry. I want another one but hesitate because of the carbs.
Interesting breakfast experience
Oh and first food for the day. Stopped eating around 11pm last night.
If you had problems eating enough at first and then got hungry shortly after, I’d try holding off with your first meal until you are really hungry. Enough so you can eat enough to carry you through to your next meal without eating. You don’t want to be eating every hour or two as it will keep insulin levels elevated.
When you start to feel hunger in the morning (or whenever it comes) drink some water, tea or coffee an wait for the next wave of hunger before eating. Sometimes the initial pangs are just superficial.
This is wierd two weeks ago I got full fast. All day today I’ve never been full.
I’m still hungry.
2 eggs 1 30
Butter sandwich 2 pm
Sandwich bag full of pork rinds. 5pm
Butter coffee. 6 pm
Butter sandwich 8pm
Nuts 8 15 pm
Small dark chocolate dessert. 9pm
Estimate 1400 calories.
I want another butter sandwich.
Instead I’ll just go to bed.
Now that you mention it I don’t think I’ve been getting enough protein period. I’ll try and remedy that tomorrow.
Nope. 2 eggs and 4 oz sausage down the hatch
I have been way under on calories for the last two weeks so I guess it was time for catch up.
I ate mostly protein till 3. Then I got nauseus. I ate fat and felt better but still hungry.
More fat and protein. Maybe I’m really full now.
It’s a learning curve that’s for sure. Learning what is hunger and what is habit and what is just a reflex. Also I had to relearn ‘thirsty’. All my signals were being interpreted as hungry. Most of them were actually ‘thirsty’ and other things.
Definitely still learning. Not long ago I was posting about getting full too fast. Now the past 2 days I can’t seem to get and stay full.
I didn’t spend my first keto month making sure I got adequate protein. I was too focused on carb reduction.
I even had to eat before noon today even though for years I rarely eat before noon.
Most folks find that there are sudden upticks in hunger now and then (and actually they often precede a drop in weight). You’ll probably find that things settle back down in a day or two. Who knows what’s happening under the hood!
