Instant gratification

I think my problem is that I was to lose 100 lbs right away. I think IF and I are meant for each other but I’m trying to overdo, to the point where I did not feel well today, so I ate a nice keto dinner and felt better.
I have to realize that I need to listen to my own body. I envy those who do back to back IFs and/or fast for 7 days and I aspire to be like them, but I’m not them.
I am down 18 lbs since I started, and I just need to realize that I need to hang with the small IFs for now, or a longer one like the Zornfast but then not try to fast again immediately after.

Hi Lucille,
So total!y agree with you. Someone here said you have to flex the fasting muscle. A little at a time. I am not completely fat adapted yet or maybe not using as much fat as my body needs. I would plan a fast for 3 days but by hour 36 I hit a wall and had to eat. This time I managed 48 hours but at hour 36 the lightheadedness returned. I had a cup of bone broth with some butter and salt and I was good to go. So for now I’m trying to come up with a good fasting schedule. I know for women weight loss is slow. This is my third month keto and I’ve lost 12 lbs. Not sure how much weight to lose. My goal is a size 12. Here’s to us on our journey.

I definitely agree with the part about listening to your body. Some people may require different fasting methods and there might even be particular people who can’t fast at all. And that’s okay!
