I’ve read in more than a few articles that omega 3’s can increase blood sugar levels. Why would this be?

That makes no sense. If you can supply links to where you read this, we could check them out.

Some things to consider:
- the dose was really high. The Omega 3 supplements I know suggest to take about 1/8 of their dose.
- this was in type 2 diabetics
- they suspect the higher glucose levels were triggered by gluconeogenesis, which is usually what you want to lose weight.
- they said other markers did not change. So probably not a big deal anyway

Exactly, one for the ignore pile. If that wasn’t enough… Healthline! Failed before it started.

I have fish oil every day after meal, I usually have 2 capsules, and I have keep this for more than a half of year, and my blood sugar is quite good because I have a device to test my blood sugar. And I found that it’s the milk making my blood sugar very high, nothing to do with fish oils.

Thanks for your thoughts. I just wondered why I was seeing this on so many websites.
