I was thinking the same.
1 scoop ain’t much though.

@Jennifer_Edwards_Sch - do you like eggs ?

I think sometimes if you ask a question, it makes you look at things harder. I replied to someone that I don’t eat much nuts and then I realized this morning that I drink almond milk everyday. Duh! Until 4-5 months or I was only making my morning shake with water. I added Almond milk and around that same time I started feeling bad. I thought it was just from increasing my carbs. I think I will cut out nuts and nut products and see what happens. Thanks for all your suggestions.

Check the “Almond Milk” my Daughter has some and it 2% almond the rest is sugar.

The Almond Milk I use is the unsweetened kind. It has less than 1 gram carbs and 0 sugars.

Mine too. Just looked.
That being said, I didn’t like it that much.
but it was better than my 1g carb unsweetened Coconut beverage.

If your thyroid was checked, what were your numbers? Some doctors have very different viewpoints about what results count as being good. My current doctor likes to keep my TSH no higher than 1, but I’ve had a doctor tell me that when it was at 9 that it was fine even though that was out of range and I had symptoms.

I believe you may become sensitive to it over time. I would be worth it to replace it or skip it all together. A bit of intermittent fasting can be very useful and telling.

I work with an integrative medicine specialist. My T3 is 1.3 and T4 are 3.9 which is in the middle of the reference range. All of my hormone testings came out fine and my antibodies look good. I think it has to do with something I am eating or not eating.

Hello All - So I dropped the nuts and almond milk and within a couple of days was back down 6 of the 10lbs gained and the bloating stopped. Thank you for helping me figure it out.

(You've tried everything else; why not try bacon?) #30

Have some bacon to celebrate: :bacon::bacon:

5 years keto and IF here, 40 pounds lost, lots of health healing done, but still have 50 pounds to lose… A few years ago I underwent tumor surgery and while fasted 2 days in the hospital I gained 10 pounds (glucose in IV I guess). Since then I have struggled to lose that 10 pounds, (losing on a fast, gaining it right back), so I am still needing to lose that last 50 pounds. I don’t do nuts, dairy, excess protein or carbs other than leafy greens etc, so I can’t figure out my 3 year long STALL/gain. Reading your comments about NUTS in almond milk was a wakeup call! I use it in my bone broth coffee! I will try eliminating it and see if that breaks my years long plateau/gain. Thanks!
