In a pickle!

I haven’t had great success making pickles yet but I am loyal to a brand called Bubbies. They are lactofermented pickles, no vinegar. They are delicious and I love knowing I am getting a gut full of good bacteria when I eat them. They also make a dill relish and bread and butter pickles.

I am a pickle snob! I grew up with some great deli pickles as a kid so now it’s hard for me to be ok even with Claussen.

I love Grillo’s pickles, they taste incredibly fresh and home made. They are about $5.99 per container at Publix here in Florida.

I also like Ba-tempte half sours. They have a “bite” to them like they sizzle a little when you bite into them.

Just my 2 cents!

No Steve, she was as British as they come. Pickled onion and cucumber was quite common in the Midlands (Birmingham ). Quite often served with Sunday Tea.

Ok…likely either my Mom’s side or my Dad’s Mom’s side. We’re all “Heinz 57’s” over here. Well, those of us that have been here for a few generations.
