I would love to hear some thoughts about me and my WOE. I’m 39yr old female. 230lbs 5f 4in
I’ve been HFLC for a little over 3 months
I do believe I’m fat adapted due to the no hunger and zero craving. I run about 0.9 ketone level. Carbs below 20g fat 104g protein 84g give or take. Here’s the thing. I haven’t budged from 230lbs or in inches. That being said. I have a tremendous amount of energy and my achy joints feel so much better. So all and all. I am loving how I feel. I always start the day with BPC.
Then a proper dinner 6pmish. No snacking and staying on track with numbers.
HELP what am I doing wrong? Should I ditch the coffee? I really hope not to.
Thank you in advance for your help.
I'm at a loss
There has been NO initial drop in water weight and it’s been 3 months, right?
Can you post a few days of typical menus? Maybe you are eating some inflammatory foods by accident. For some people, it’s too much processed foods, Atkins bars and shakes, or too much dairy can be the cause.
Have you looked into intermittent fasting?
Continuing the discussion from I'm at a loss:
No weight loss of any. [quote=“Wally199, post:1, topic:38185, full:true”]I would love to hear some thoughts about me and my WOE. I’m 39yr old female. 230lbs 5f 4in

I’m having a difficult time reading from the screen shots, don’t know if I’m missing other stuff below the cut off line. All I can see posted is breakfast and then ceasar dressing for lunch.
Looking at breakfast:
MCT oil - 1 Tbsp
Hydrolyzed Collagen - 2 scoops
If this is ALL you are having for breakfast, I’d drop the 2 scoops hydrolyzed collagen powder from your morning coffee and go for the benefits of intermittent fasting.
The collagen powder has protein and you would be better off with just oil in your morning coffee, if that’s ALL you are having for breakfast. The protein will cause an insulin response and if not for that, you could have called this an intermittent fast. If you are in love with the benefits of collagen supplementation, eat them with your lunch or dinner. Perhaps having this longer fasting time daily will reward you some benefits/results?
I can’t see your lunch or dinner, so that’s all the suggestions I’ve got. Hope that helps! It worth a try, right?
Your calories are looking kind of low. Is that on purpose? Are you struggling to get to your protein levels daily? When did you start to fast? What is your electrolyte use like? Do you have any odd things like headaches, fatigue, etc? Do you take medications? Do you exercise?
If you have been eating around 1100 calories a day for 3 months, that is more than enough time for your basal metabolic rate to drop and reduce/halt weight loss.
My BMR seems to drop within 5 days (due to a long history of varous diets, my body has learned to adjust v quickly). Obviously, I don’t know whether you have a body that is similarly ‘experienced’.
In your situation I would eat more. And I would mix it up. 2 meals one day. none the next. 3 meals the third day. Then repeat in a random cycle. This keeps the metabolism guessing and stops it doing a BMR slowdown.
Of course, since it looks like your BMR has already slowed down, you could try waking it up again by eating a lot of keto or zero carb food for a few days. There might be a bit of weight gain, especially with the weight of the food going in, and while your body ramps up its BMR, but once that phase is over, your BMR should have risen, and then you can do the ‘mixing it up’ routine.
Having said that, much of it depends on your personal hormonal situation and eating history. I have lots of hormonal nonsense going on, and keto does not help me lose weight. The only time I have lost weight in the last 3 years, was when I got a tummy bug and ended up hardly eating for 3 weeks. Lost about 5 pounds, which have stayed off.
But I don’t recommend that as a weight loss technique, although some people do long fasts, which have a similar effect.
The most basic thing to do is make sure you’re hungry when you eat. You can initially fast until that happens, then adjust your calories to make sure that happens before each time you eat. Since you’re fairly sated, I’d aim for OMAD.
Thank you all . So many great tips . I’m new to forums and how they work so I apologize for the bad pictures.
