I had to scoot my driver seat forward one notch today because my ass has shrunk.
If you have an NSV and there's nobody to tell does it still make you feel successful?
Aw, no! Not what I meant at all! I was trying to decide if I should post about moving my seat forward and the thought occurred to me, “If I dont post about it it wont FEEL as successful.” Mostly because I am still a child and want people to watch me when I do cool tricks.
Well, that’s alright then…
I thought you meant you loved us less than peeps IRL
Oh, no. Nothing like that. I dont have any peeps IRL. (#1 Except my spouse & daughter #2 who would understand the significance of an NSV )
Thread Topic: If you have an NSV and there’s nobody to tell does it still make you feel successful?
Hell Yeah, because success is success! Who gives a rip about what anybody else thinks? Everything that you need should be found internally. It’s really the only thing that matters. And once you find that, everything else falls into place.
That’s one of the best things about the forums, isn’t it? I feel like when I log in, I’m catching up with old friends, and I’m barely two months in myself. It’s hard to find people IRL who can relate so well to everything I’m thinking about and doing.
p.s. - I’m about to have to buy my first belt hole punch, never had to do this before! That’s my first real NSV!
p.p.s.- I just remembered (how could I forget)!! It has been a few weeks so I totally forgot, but I had my chronic shoulder and back pain also resolve. They are a thing of the past, just incredible.
I still feel successful, regardless of whether I post my NSV’s or not, but one thing this forum does is to help me realize the victories I’ve had. Sometimes something will occur to me unaided, but often I don’t notice till someone else has posted something similar.
^^^^^^^ This is spot on, this is it. Hell yeah it counts as success.
Yes, I still feel successful, but It’s so much fun to share it with someone who really understands! My best friend had weight loss surgery after I started keto and we are always texting each other about NSV. Like when I discovered I could wrap a regular size bath towel around me and overlap slightly! She totally understood my excitement!
Of course! In fact, my success is about my perspective, and it does not matter to me whether others know about it because it really isn’t about them. Even within the vast LCHF/keto community, we each define success differently and have different needs, goals, and triumphs. However, if you need to share to fully feel your accomplishment, go for it—many do.
