If you give blood in the US at the Red Cross....they test HbA1c sometimes

They sometimes test HbA1c. I did not know this until my last test, but I got two results of HbA1c on my blood donation app:

They were telling me they did this because they’d get a few people who were (well) into the diabetic level.

My next test will get me to 7 gallons of blood at the Red Cross while where I live now. (I donated in another state too, but I don’t think they have access to that; I’m not sure.)

Yup, they randomly do that, they’ll see the other donations since they’re all (assumingly) being made on the same account.

I had no idea until I saw it was being advertised at my last donation. Then I realized I had two of them on my app.

I wish they would email the result, but maybe they can’t? I only found the result once I went into the app.

I could easily seem some/many people being shocked at their HbA1c. That’s test I never got until I was keto for years. I’d love to know what it was before I went keto.
