What do you use?

Google. I really wanted Bing to be a good a while ago, as using it would have got me MS points which I could use to pay for XBOX things. (Also, I like breaking the meta.)

So I tried it it, and compared it to the results I was getting via Google, and FOR ME, Google gave me better results.

I did try duckduckgo, but didn’t see the point.

Anyway, that’s a long-winded way of saying that if people do things differently from me, they’re completely wrong. And if I change what I’m doing, people are, again, all completely wrong until they catch up.

I just opened up concurrent tabs (to go with the 100 or so I’ve ALREADY got open) and used the same search term and looked at the results. Not super-scientific, I’ll admit.

Just to off-set the cute-ness of all the recent Cat posts, I thought I’d throw in a pic I took several years ago at the Cleland Wildlife Park, here in Adelaide, South Australia. Now if you think this little Yellow-footed Rock Wallaby isn’t cute, you must be deranged!! They’re smaller than the average cat.

I use Firefox, because I find the add-ons to be more useful than Chrome’s, especially the “vertical tabs” because I usually have at least 100 open at a time.

And, given how many tabs I have open, that makes Chrome a no-go for me because not only does it not have vertical tabs, it also had a terrible memory usage footprint that makes it grind to a halt all the time.

Also, you can’t answer this, but why is my google search window in Spanish??? My husband never uses my laptop.

The reason Queenv is likely not responding is because she read some of the posts, as you all are proving to be the rude posters referred to in her original post, and left the forum as you obviously intended, after all, if Queenv doesn’t agree with your position, they’re obviously wrong. Also, one does not have to actually have read many posts to see what douche bags you guys can be, just read a few of your comments. I use to refer people to this site but no one has time for your petty, tiny-minded attitudes and chest puffing. Therefore, I will henceforth dissuade any and everyone I contact to avoid your middle-school antics, pointless, errant comments and pseudo-intelligent statements on a subject obviously far too involved for your mentality to begin to comprehend as I don’t wish them to waste near the time here I have. Just because you have the right to bully people doesn’t mean you should. Your response to this will never be seen with my eyes so please, waste as much of your time as you can and continue comments, bullying and ultimately your ensuing lack of intelligent thought on my response. And good riddance!

I left the above post, despite it being flagged, as a contrast to the behavior of the vast majority of posters on this forum. No one called Queenv anything like dbag, yet, Hoosiersmoker seems to think that’s just fine when venting their spleen in “support” of Queenv.

I’ll just add that as others have pointed out, you don’t get a right to your own “reality”. There’s one, and only one, reality. Those with their own reality are not well, they are deluded. Everyone is certainly entitled to their own feelings, and their own way of responding to the reality they are faced with, whether or not that response helps them in achieving what they want. But reality is what it is.

I think this response says it quite well…

If anything happened on an internet forum that led me to feel victimised, i would face the same 3 options I face in every difficult situation:

1. Accept it.
2. Change it.
3. Leave it.

Both mods and the community work to make this a welcoming place. That not all experience it as such does not change that fact. I certainly hope that Queenv (and Hoosiersmoker, if they’ve chosen to move on from KF) find someplace more to their liking.

That’s right, now that I know they won’t murder me. One of my helpful professional skills is that I know how to protect myself from being urinated on. Most of the time I have no warning it’s coming, though., I may have had to change both my scrubs and my socks at work a couple of weeks ago. Oh, and my underwear. That was fun.
