I tried Carnivore, not for me

Good deal. 2 tips… There is zero customer service there. and wear shoes and possibly a light jacket. The refrigerated section gets cold. Sometimes they have jackets available to walk in.

Favorites from my RD- Sauce squeeze bottles, disposable pans, sheet pans/racks, bar essentials, 5lb buckets of Plugra clairified butter, beef.

The one closest to me has HORRIFIC reviews. Thanks for the business guide though, this may come in handy other places.

Which one does? I’m only seeing two in Detroit area!

Dearborn store is the closest to me.

In NC, if you’re a sole proprietor using your own name, you don’t have to register your “business”. I applied for and got an EIN from the IRS.

:Sigh: seems I still have to get a sales tax permit… (later). I got my permit. In NC, apparently you have to file quarterly for sales & use tax. SInce I won’t actually be selling anything, I suppose the forms will be easy. Thankfully, the registration process is relatively easy and it’s free, so let’s hope this store is worth it as they say.

Lonnie - have to laugh - I read a lot of reviews of various Restaurant Depot stores, and many pages of employees’ comments. The uniformity of the negative comments is amazing. Must be one of the worst…

However, if one knows what they want, there may be some outstanding values to be had.

True. I’m not needy when it comes to shopping so I could just “get in and get out”. Same as what I do at any grocery store. Meat, eggs, pay and leave.

This is my plan, too. I hate “customer service” if that means someone is bugging me!

(Chris) #69

If you are thinking of leaving a review online, RD is not your place. Like I say, zero customer service. This is the opposite of Costco. But what it is, it is. Zero frills, but anything you need to operate a restaurant. Customer service costs money.

Probably need to go a couple times just to figure out how to not look like a noob there.

Shayne, I don’t think the EIN would be required - all you need is a state tax identification. However, there won’t be any federal forms to fill out, unless one actually engages in business and makes over $400 doing it.

Darn it - Georgia did not make this clear on their website, but it too has a filing requirement, even if no tax collected, a “zero filing.” Have to do it monthly for the first 6 months, and then you can request longer filing periods - up to a year. A pain in the butt, although it can all be done online; probably really will only take some seconds to do.

I was already registered with the state tax center as an individual, thus my having to register a business to get a tax ID.

Restaurant Depot membership cards never expire, as far as I know, so may just cancel my tax account once I get the RD card.

Realized that, may or may not do it in the future. I like the variety of keto. I can have a ribeye steak and sauteed Brussels sprouts. Typically I am ok with salad, not a big lover of salad, but I do like my hamburger party dressed with cheese, bacon, tomato, pickles, mustard and mayo and s&p. As a truck driver it’s just not easy especially if ones significant other is not on board, that may be the reason, just saying.
