I smell of pizza šŸ˜‚

Many years ago, 2004 - 2008, I worked in the pizza industry. I started part time as a driver and ended up GM for Domino’s then GM with Papa Johns. I was always a hands-on manager so jumped in and worked with my teams whatever needed doing and it was actually quite fun, although damned hard work at times.

One of the draw backs was that I always smelt of pizza. It didn’t matter how often a bathed or changed my clothes, the constant hands-on the raw ingredients and finished products actually ingrained my body.

When I first started in the work I was the slimmest I’ve ever been in my life, and the fittest. 24ā€ waist and regular weights, cycling, walking. Over those years though, I put on a LOT of weight - not all due to the work, I had lots of stress in other areas of my life too, but practically living on that food really didn’t do me any good.

Now suddenly, just today, I’ve noticed I smell of pizza again just like I used to those years back. I haven’t even set foot in a pizza store let alone eaten anything like it :joy:

What I have done is step up my gym routine and started tracking again to also step up my level of ketosis to try and lose the last few stubborn pounds, so I’m wondering… could this be a sign that my body is actually burning through the fat stores that it hoarded back in the days of my pizza work?? :open_mouth:

So at some point I’m going to start smelling of tequila & kebabs?! Good to know

It could be possible :joy:

I’ve washed my hands so many times today as they smell of pizza! I haven’t even had anything with tomatoes in today… so weird.

I think so, Allie - lots of stuff is fat-soluble and stays with us. Great post. :slightly_smiling_face:

Perhaps your calling in life is to open a pizza joint (cloud bread pies anyone?). You have pepperoni in your blood!

It could be true. Supposedly, it takes a long time (years?) to flush out the Omega 6 we have in our fat cells.

Pizza is still one of my downfalls. There’s nothing like a great pizza (though I don’t consider Domino’s or Papa John’s to anywhere near great - sorry!).

(You've tried everything else; why not try bacon?) #7

Or in my case, glazed doughnuts, wow! :bacon:

Better than tequila - I feel queasy just thinking about it

Guess that explains why I smell. I’ve been full of
shit
for decades.

Years ago I delivered for Dominos. I did that part time for 2-3 years off and on and it actually made me hate pizza. The smell or sight of it repulsed me for many years after working there. I remember friends always asking why I didn’t bring a pizza with me if I came to their house after working.

Anyway, working there probably did me some good in that I wouldn’t touch pizza for the longest time and I still won’t eat Dominos to this day. I imagine it saved my belly from at least 100 pizzas.

Maybe set up a hidden camera in your home. You might be sleep-eating, ordering pizza in the middle of the night.:rofl:

btw, that explains why I smell of sour gummy worms and sarsaparilla.

It will be DQ banana splits and blizzards for me  loved your post! Keto On…

:rofl::joy::rofl:

I don’t either! :joy:
PJ’s used to use better quality ingredients (store prepped rather than mass produced) but I have no idea if that’s still the case.

Not much worse than getting into a car that was used to deliver an anchovy pizza the night before
