I resisted the office McD's run!

Usually I’d be the first one shouting Yes me me please! 1/4lb meal with milkshake and maybe an extra portion of fries to eat cold an hour or so later when I inevitably got hungry again. But I stuck to my guns and had my chicken salad, and do you know what? That McD’s smelt awful, really unappealing. I’m hoping that means both my body & brain are starting to sort themselves out.

Sounds like you are well on your way! I walk past that giant cookie place at the mall and feel like barfing.

Sounds great.

I used to eat their crap way too often. I worked there as a kid for a few years. It smells completely horrid now as do sickly sweet smelling places these days also. Now a road side bbq… that’s a different story…

I can eat keto at McDonalds. They serve breakfast all day so I can get eggs and sausage hold the muffin. Add butter to the eggs and I am good for several hours!

I work at the corporate office for a very large Convenience store chain and I posted the pictures yesterday of a huge spread of donuts that they sometimes bring out for special events. I don’t even flinch at those anymore. However, we also have a small store on campus and we have a roller grill set up in it. The hot dog smell is the thing that calls to me. I don’t go in there when I’m fasting because that’s about the only smell that would even make me think about food here. I will ahve a bare hot dog if I’m eating that day though if my meal was light on fat.

I’ve been bread free for over 3 months.

It is possible that one day I might eat a Big Mac.

But I’m not going to eat a muffin ever. So many carbs, so little goodness.

At least he Big Mac has fat and meat !

The tangy sauce is what I crave, so I bet I could just make a Big Mac at home since you can buy the sauce now … with no bun !

I actually bought the Big Mac at Walmart sauce just to see my wife’s eyes roll. And they did.

I love McDouble Cheeseburgers, no ketchup, no bun. They are 2/$3 at my local McDonalds.

This helped me out in the beginning.

At my work they bring in donuts, bagels and fruit every Friday morning for the employees. I don’t even miss it anymore.

That puts it in a nutshell! It’s exactly how I see all that junk I was addicted to. Not even worth it. Leave it to Keto to totally shift perception. Duly noted as another health benefit!

And that sauce is basically ketchup, mayo and sweet pickle relish. If you can figure subs you can make it yourself.
Mayo is cool and Heinz makes a grown up tasting, no added sugar ketchup that is really decent. The prob is the sweet relish.

Yeah I could have keto’d it, but wasn’t sure I could control my mouth enough when ordering to not end up with 2 lots of fries & a shake along with the burger, thought it best to abstain.
