Hi there, this is my 1st post, like ever! On a forum. I’m new at forums and Keto as well. How do I get around on the forums? I’m needing to know how many carbs and proteins I need. I did that calculations and it said 1376 kcal s. Is there something else I need to do to get the other stuff? If it’s ok - please let me know if I got this post out to someone.

Don’t worry about calories, go for around 100g of protein until you figure out what you really need.

Assuming you are using your PC’s browser, the banner that says Ketogenic forums on the left side has an icon that is 3 horizontal lines. If you click on that icon you will have a list of options on this site, one is catagories, that is all the forum areas you can go into and read and post. There are some other options there as well, just play around and learn where they all take you to. Enjoy, lots of great people and information here.

Like Peter said, don’t count calories. Try to keep carbs below 20 grams per day (some count net some count total). Keep protein moderate. Moderate is around 1 gram per kg of lean muscle mass. Don’t worry about fat, just increase fat until you’re no longer hungry. I usually eat somewhere around 120 to 140 grams of fat per day (5 ft, 6 in female).

I use my iPad and I do not have this on the left side of the screen. Do the forums work on mobile devices? (I looked but did not find the answer to this question).

Crap, I should have said the right hand side. Soo sorry, must proof read everytime.
The three lines between the magnifying seach icon and my peace sign avatar is what I referring to. Sorry I don’t view the threads on a mobile device, on my Kindle I use the browser as well. OK, I just added the app Discourse to my iPhone. After you install the app, you need to add : www.ketogenicforums.com, then you can see them, don’t forget the www. Banner has those same three icons on the right side.
