I knew it was bad, but I didn't realize HOW bad it was

Love sweet tea. Up until recently, I believed CICO, so I told myself that a glass or two (sometimes 3) per day of sweet tea wasn’t that bad because calories overall weren’t that bad. I drink my tea more strong than sweet, but the sugar was certainly there.

This past week has been my first week on keto, so I’m been reading a lot, watching numerous videos, etc. After reading Dr. Fung’s Obesity Code (and now moving onto his fasting book), I realize just how bad it was to be sipping on sweet tea all day. All those insulin spikes…starting soon after I woke up in the am until late in the evening. Wow. Kinda crazy.

It’s amazing how simple people think losing weight is.
They think hey if my body needs 2000 calories a day and I only eat 1000, then I am burning 1000 calories, right? WRONG.

Obesity, weight loss, and weight control are all related to insulin/other hormones and body set weights.

I tell people it is not how much you consume it is what and when.
