I’m just ball parking the numbers based on where I know my own maintenance level is (I’m 5’2”, 44 years and 132lbs) I’d say your minimum calorie intake should be 1500-1600.

Once you really become fat adapted and can start to incorporate fasting, you can do 24 hour fasts or ADF’s and that will help out a lot. But the thing is on the days you do eat, you have to feast.

I noticed that your app recommends 230 grams of protein? Is nt it too high?mine says 64!

I’m very similar in age and height, and I think you are literally starving yourself! I have half an avocado on low carb bread with butter and seasoning salt, and a very large mug of tea with almond milk, every single morning and sometimes I’m still hungry before lunch!

PLEASE eat more. Forget about losing weight, I’m worried you’ll wreck your metabolism at this rate.

Thank you so much for the info! I’m always open to learning. What about sucralose? I mainly stick with stevia. ATM I am using none to try and see how it will go.

Really? I think the calories and concern with keeping them at or under 1000 might have had something to do with the stall?. I fast often and not on purpose but I’m going to try to be more thoughtful in what and when I eat. I really love this forum!! Wished I woulda met y’all a heckofva lot sooner!!! :heart:

You shouldn’t worry about those carbs, eat lettuce and avocados as much as you want.

I would avoid many small meals. Every time you eat something you do produce some insulin. Every time you provoke insulin you stop burning fat and store some of the food you eat until you’re not in a ‘fed’ state again. See what you can do to keep the number of times you put food in your mouth down to 1-2 big meals and I bet you’ll see better results.

Oh yes I had to set it up. Originally I was trying to stay at: I’ll post a pic. It’s a little different than before but that was what I tried to stay at 40 lbs ago except I stayed under 1000 calories.

I posted a pic of what I’m going to try and follow. I think my overthinking on some things really hurt my weight loss and stalled me from what I have learned in here in just a couple days. Thank you hun! I will do better and keep posting my daily foods so y’all can keep me honest! :blush:

I prefer 1-2 meals so that sounds great to me. I’m gonna eat an avacado at dinner and love it (along with a beef and veggie mix). Any suggestion on easy higher in fat meals I could prep? I’m going to try to get 1500 calories a day. I posted a pic of what I’m going to try to set as goals for the day. I was so lost in the food part. I think it was making 2 separate meals that got me but now I will just prep a couple days of meals ahead of time. I’m hoping it helps me keep on track.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate all the advice all y’all have been giving!!! I have no one here around me to bounce thoughts off of or work with. It’s just so nice to have people traveling the same roads! My short goal is to be under 200 and big goal is 160 then idk yet. I just wanna not hold my hubby back and be healthy so the next time we travel we can do the things we have missed out on! I wanna hike and walk without feeling like I’m dying lol I’m sorry I went off on a story but I’m just so happy to have met y’all!

Pork sparribs, shoulder, butt, beef brisket or ribs… all work great in a crock pot.

Drench your avocados in olive oil. If you can do dairy, go for bricks or wedges of hard cheddar.

A favorite side I’ve learned here is pork rinds with a small slice of cream cheese on each piece.

Oh my! The avacado and olive oil sounds yum but the pork rinds and cream cheese has me super excited! For fat snacks (I called it that before I was dieting) with
4 jalapeños
1 cup sour cream
I cup mayo
I packet ranch mix
Bunch of cilantro
I only ate a little because it’s so high fat. But cream cheese and pork rinds is much easier!!! Thank youuuuu

Was that because you weren’t hungry anymore, or because you’re still stuck in the misguided belief of fat being bad? Fat is your friend, most of what you eat should be fat.

If you want to try keto baking, I know a few recipes that are good for adding quick fats. I make batches of mini lemon cheesecakes in little paper muffin cups, 16g of fat per cake. Good to have with a meal if you’re eating something that doesn’t have enough fat in it - and if you like sweet things :slight_smile:

I’ve been learning that lately. I’m thick skulled on healthy eating sometimes I think. I’m loving all the info I’m getting in here though. It’s already helped me set up for the better. I am determined this time to not stall. :blush:
