My husband picks up our son on Thursdays. This allows me an hour or two of mommy time. Yesterday I decided I was going to take a walk. Just a mile, 15-20 mins. It was a very nice day and I wasn’t hungry for dinner yet.
So I get my headphones on; queue up some awesome playlist (thanks Spotify) and head out the back door. I walked for about half a mile and
So I did.
I ran to the end of the mile… stopped to stretch my legs and decided to keep going. I walked another half mile and then felt like I could run again. So I did!
I called it my “Easter Bingeing Penance”, but honestly it felt GOOD! I"m all like… who is this person, where did she come from and how do I keep her around??
I was a sweaty smiley mess by the time I got home. But my god, it felt amazing. I wanna do this all the time. I’m not even all that sore today. A little, but nothing crazy.
I managed my 2 mile adventure is 34 mins. After my shower and some water; I had scrambled eggs in butter with ham and cheese for dinner. Glorious!
I was totally off the rails for Easter, but I am wholly back on track and excited for new adventures.
