I just drank straight bacon juice and I'm not the least bit disgusted

…Just had a long day, skipped breakfast and lunch (didn’t matter, felt fine) then got home late, looked in the fridge and found a packet of thick cut bacon which I had about 5 minutes to inhale before heading out for some other chores. Four strips nuked in the microwave in a covered bowl for several minutes cooked nice and rubbery and fatty! I wasn’t thinking yum before eating but certainly was as soon as I took a bite. I mopped up the juice with the morcels of bacon and drank the rest like slurping up the last bit of a soup.

I think I just discovered a new energy bomb for me!

Edit:. Admittedly it actually grossed out my better half until I revealed that today is 50lbs down since July last year.

Won’t lie, makes me gag a little to think about drinking it like a soup. But I’m only a week into this. I did lick the grease off of my plate the other night after my double bacon cheese burger with guacamole (no bun). I guess that isn’t any better! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I’ve been sautéing my greens in the bacon drippings…it’s delicious !

I luv adding lots of raw bacon to meatloaf. The loaf is swimming in amazing juices when finished, and I drink it like bone broth. It’s delicious fresh or reheated.

I still have some left in a tub in the fridge from when I cooked 3 packets of bacon (54 rashers) a couple of weeks back. I use it when frying my eggs.

I gross out my hubby by licking grease off of a clear plate. I’m sure it looks like a dog licking a window from the other side.

I bet you get his attention first, too !

It’s like a Bacon Bloody Mary but without all the pesky vegetables.

I’m still too chicken for that, but I’m working up my courage to do it. Kudos to you!!

I like to using bacon fat as “syrup” on my cream cheese pancakes.

Brilliant idea!
