I havnt posted in a while... but good news

So i kinda “fell off the wagon” as they say at around the last week in october and like 2 weeks weeks into november. It was so hard to resist and with carbs it seems like if i have even one sweet im doomed to eat them all.

But i was also thinking about how some folks seem to think carb cycling might help people break through a plateau which i seemed to be at. I was hovering around 172lb. (Max was 220ish) Im 5’11".

i havnt been weighing myself because i thought i would be discouraged by the results. But today i bit the bullet and weighed myself. And surprise! I was at new all time low of 168lb. That was a nice motivational boost.

My primary interest in keto is the mental clarity and cognitive boost i get. But im still enjoying the reduced bloating and fat loss.

I also thought id add a few thoughts regarding what ive been eating as maybe someone will benefit too. What ive found is that i feel best when i eat a large volume of leafy greens accompanied by some fatty meat or lean meat with fatty sauce. i allow myself unlimited leafy greens but im cautious about processed or sugary/starchy veg/fruit. Especially if they are cooked.

Its not really a salad, im talking about either its just a few fist fulls of mixed greens or spinach topped off with chicken thighs or salmon. Those have been my go-to meals.

Just thought id check in as i waz itching to share my new low LOL. Have a great weekend everyone.

Congratulations! Glad to see you’re back on the horse. I also enjoy my meals with more leafy greens. Last night I fried up some chopped bacon, then I sauteed red onion and a ton of kale in the bacon juice. I topped that with a little advacado and blue cheese. I should’ve taken a picture! It was glorious!
