I hate my stall!

(Thomas Louis Mueller) #1

Completed my 33rd week on “Keto” and I remained stalled!! This week I gained .4lbs. I have virtually remained the same for the last 6 weeks. It is frustrating to work so hard and see NO movement on the scale. I have lost a total of 82lbs, but still, have 28lbs to go. I’m obviously going to have to make adjustments if I want to get to my goal of less than 25% body fat, less than a 25 BMI. I know I am in nutritional Ketosis, because I check myself every day with my Keto Mojo, and I have not had any Carbs. I have been weight training, so I can only hope I am building muscle, but my “smart scale” does not show increased muscle mass. I am considering cutting calories and increasing my fasting. Being stalled sucks!!! Trying to remain “calm and keto on”. Staying grateful to God for all I have accomplished, asking for additional grace and patience.

Try being stalled for 2 years! … then try an extended fast to see if that helps break through…

Using quotes there is wise.

Also, you’ve lost 82 pounds.

The Human Body can only put on roughly 2 pounds of lean muscle per month

Extended fasts of 48, 72 and upward are only sure way I lose weight at all despite a strict sub 20 carb day. But I am an impatient dieter.

Are you strict on the types of oils/fats you’re eating? Unsaturated fats/ seed oils etc might be contributing to the stall as well. If you eat out a lot, even seemingly keto friendly food might be cooked/dressed in harmful oils.
