I grew mushrooms!

My first crop, hope I get more as they were the best I’ve ever had - fried in butter with steak and eggs :heart_eyes:

That’s been on my list of things I want to try for over 30 years. Really must do it. Any details of what you did that you’d like to share?? :slight_smile:

@Bellyman simple really, I bought a kit from Amazon and followed the instructions. It’s taken about three or four weeks to get this far, lovingly spraying them with water two or three times a day as you have to keep the soil / spores damp, but not soaked. They have to be kept somewhere dark too or they won’t grow.

If I keep having success with this basic kit I may be brave and try something more exotic… :grinning:

I was just telling my oldest that I won’t to grow mushrooms when I retire. They look yummy!

@daddyoh honestly the best I’ve ever had, whether that’s partly because I know I grew them I don’t know… :joy: there’s loads more showing as tiny little shroom heads in the soil tub so hopefully I will get more…
