Today, drinking my very great drink and eating my similarly delicious food I wondered about people and their wrong favorites again… As if a healthier thing couldn’t be just as great. If not right out of sugar addiction, later. My tastebuds work very similarly except a few things but I only expect my food to be tasty, not particularly sweet or just as it was as a kid.
And choosing the old food and not health even when the health problems are very apparent… Super odd to me.
I can't say enough about Keto, and this forum
Well, you have to understand that my dad’s mother was born from parents who emigrated to the US from Italy. They grew their own tomatoes, made their own spaghetti sauce, etc. Like many immigrants, they worked in industry. They were also the epitome of Italians: loud, fun to be around, lived all in the same house, gregarious.
I think he tried to be like that, but they were somehow able to limit their damage from carbs (4 of 7 children lived well into their 90s or over 100). I don’t know what changed, but my dad’s eating of pasta somehow ruined him, whereas theirs did not.
it’s a conundrum isn’t it Bob. My dad only had one thing I know of (he moved away when I was 5) and that was prostrate cancer but in remission I guess as he lived well into his nineties. He was still active too, traveling to see family and friends. I know because I got to meet other relations later in my life, and unfortunately, he had already passed away. I didn’t know they existed but they got hold of my younger bro and he told me, then we all met up in Idaho. I saw pic of him and he looked really good, much like the pics I’d seen of him from when he lived with us.
