Husband Starting Keto

Since I have been on keto, my husband has been eating many of the same things I am, however, he is now interested in trying keto in earnest. He is thin and very fit (cardio and weights), but he has a tummy that he would love to get rid of - it’s not huge but it’s solid and that is the only place he has any fat. He loves sugar and fruit, natural and canned, and eats a lot of both. I’m sure this is why he has a belly. He only eats OMAD, I think largely in an attempt to keep his weight down. Being thin in general, I am hoping that if he follows keto strictly for 2-3 weeks, he will notice a big difference in his body. I told him after a week or so, his sugar cravings should disappear to large degree. He could otherwise be a carnivore, so I think if he could just follow keto for a few weeks, he would be out of the woods for the most part. I just hope he sees results enough to want to continue, lose the cravings and not get discouraged.

Do people who don’t have “weight” to lose still lose fat quickly?

The closer we are to goal weight the harder it is to lose fat. But he has many other thngs to look forward to. I’m happy to say I finally have an understanding of how my hunger is supposed to work and I know exactly what to eat in order to have full control over it and my health. I’m also more than pleased to say that most of the inflammation I had to deal with daily is all but gone, I have more energy and endurance and I’m a much nicer person to others and to myself.

I am a belly fat gainer and am down 26 pounds since 7/10/18. I am only 7 pounds from what I think my goal is and I still have some belly to get rid of. It has been real slow so I decided to increase my running and start strength training to speed thing up. It seems to be working as I am losing or at worst maintaining. It is kind of an experiment on myself where I plan on running 30+ miles a week with three strength training workouts. I always start slow and low on weights but am starting to increase now.

I didn’t have a lot of weight to lose and lost belly fat reasonably quickly. First results were also super fast.
