Hungry after eating

#1

Why is it that I still get hungry AFTER I eat? I know that used to happen to me consistently when I was eating my awful, high-carb lifestyle and I know why, but now that I’ve been keto for 4 weeks and my blood sugar peaks and crashes have stopped, I wonder why I still get hungry after eating. I fasted for 15 hours today and went for an hour-long walk while still fasting (except for a BPC) and then when I got back I started to feel hungry so made bacon and eggs. I ate to satiety but about 30 minutes later I was truly hungry again. I find this happen pretty consistently but assumed that it would start to fade away.

I’m I awakening my hunger signal or something by eating?

If you are still hungry you aren’t getting enough fat in your meal. Add some butter to those eggs!

I had added butter, heavy cream, and cheese… they were plenty fatty, in addition to the juicy bacon!

Well, I’ve been known to savor a pat of butter like some people do with
chocolate (slowly melting, savoring). Perhaps you could try that?

Actually did that at the office the other day. Had nothing with me that was keto-safe so grabbed an individually wrapped pat of butter from the fridge.

I’m more wondering why I’m hungry 30 minutes after eating.

Embrace that feeling…I long for it every day!

I give up… why would you want to feel hungry?

It’s part of the whole IF thing. When I feel that hunger feeling I always know I can go just a bit longer before I really NEED to eat.

It´s probably not real hunger you feel. If you eat an egg and still feel hunger it´s probably cravings you have. After being without food for more than 24 hours you can what real hunger feels like, it´s a different feeling.

You might have problems with your hormones, ghrelin or leptin or insulin if you have been overeating for a long time. You seem to be new on ketosis, maybe your body needs time to adjust your hormones.
