Hunger drastically changing

(Mandy) #1

Hi all,

44 days in here. I’m noticing a fairly sharp decline in my hunger. not only am I going a lot longer in between meals but also eating a lot less at meals. While I think this is normal (I think?), I’m concerned eating drastically less will affect my metabolism. I’m a little confused as to when I am doing harm vs when my body will start to eat itself…lol. Seems like a fine line.

Thanks for reading

If you can get to the point you can do some fasting, it will help. Fasting allows the body to work off stored fat, whereas regular feedings work more off dietary fat. Thus fasting won’t hurt metabolism like restricted calories if you’re regularly feeding will.

Thats a good point. I am doing some IF right now and just did a 24 hour fast pretty easily. I usually eat because I feel something off with my electrolytes. I find it difficult to keep them in check without eating. I’m not sure how others keep potassium and magnesium in check while fasting but I have found it difficult.

I drink ZipFizz (1 per day) and take supplements. Bone broth is another way. M

Interesting…looks like it has a good amount of potassium. I might have to check it out. Thanks!

I don’t know. It sounds fine to me, but if there is a problem, I’m sure you’ll figure it out. My appetite goes up and down, but you know whether this is something to worry about or not.
