How will I know

How will I know if I break keto and am out of ketosis? I have a ketone monitor that I bought but I’m out of the test strips so I can’t track my level . I know Iv had a couple days where I might have been bad ( went to a Korean BBQ place and also had some Korean wine and don’t know carbs and sugar content) so I’m wondering how I’ll know if my body switches back to "regular " and not keto

Life happens, just get back on the horse. Either you didn’t get kicked out, or you did and you’ll be back in it in no time. Either way, the path is the same, so don’t sweat testing.

You won’t and you don’t need to. Just get back to the guidelines and KCKO.

Just an observation of my own experience; but you’ll feel like $%^ :slight_smile:

I’m fasting quite a bit atm as I have weight loss goals (but that should be burning my body fat of course), I am pretty sure I’m completely in Ketosis I can feel the difference.

I had some recent examples where I fell back into the sugar cycle quite heavily one day; I swear I felt quite off the next day. Recently I ‘binge smoked’ (don’t ask; it was dumb; but no doubt it was dumb and liver/body had 2-3 days trying to sort out those free radicals). I then over did the caffeine and Wheatgrass Powder on Monday (always been sensitive to caffeine but less so in Keto but 10 coffees was pushing it!
I have to admit I’m quite still new at 2 months and and have some hypersensitivity (genetic or due to diet growing up);

I am fairly confident to say some can almost physically feel the differences when you shift in and out? I feel a lot clearer in mind and body when ‘IN’. Maybe the will become less so over the longer period or depending on your personal circumstances, but I think there must be obvious signs internally and externally that your ‘IN’? (may be wrong though, just thinking out loud).

Hi Kellie,

First I’m a female and in my mid 30s.
This is based on my observation.
When I’m out of ketosis first thing happen to me is a headache.
It doesn’t go away until I get back into ketosis again.
Sometimes my feet and hands get cold even if I’m indoor.
Those are two significant symptoms not being in ketosis to me.

Hope this helps.
