I did just eggs, butter and a little cheese for 3 days and it wasn’t torture or anything, but I think I could really groove on bacon & eggs!
How to Get Over a Stall and Stay Healthy - Modified Bacon AND Egg Fast!
Just finished breakfast. 5 bacons, 2 eggs, 1 green drink, 1 tbsp. grassfed butter, 2 tsp cod liver oil. (for my supplements, 950mg fish oil, Potassium, Magnesium, K2, D3, vitamins C, E, Calcium) The macros came in very good - 22% protein, 74% fat, 4% carbs. I think I can do this for a good number of days. Just FYI, Jack Lalanne took about 40 supplements a day.
Wow the 5 pieces of bacon weren’t at all hard to eat. Mmmm good. Went for over easy eggs and while flipping them, broke them both. Like that’s never happened before. 574 calories in all. Pffftt.
Feel quite full.
What’s in the green drink? And you mean you had 5 pieces while the rest was cooking? Or are they 1” thick slices?
5 pieces bacon total for breakfast. I’ll eat close to a lb a day I reckon.
My green drink, and have tried several kinds, is Royal Greens Ultra by NewVitality. It has the equivalent of a ton of all kinds of super green foods, spinach, kale, wheatgrass, barley, spirulina, chlorella, broccoli, carrot, beat root, milk thistle, pomegranate, blueberry, turmeric, echinacea, ginkgo, and a bunch of probiotics, just to mention a few. Only 6 grams of carbs in all. And the stuff tastes really good. Many, many green drinks don’t taste good, so you end up with unused cans and/or throwing them away.
I don’t want to join the fast definition debate, but water fasting is drinking only water; juice fasting is drinking only juice; bacon fasting can be eating mostly bacon; so bacon and egg fasting is good enough for me.
I’m with you on the fasting definition issue, but your green drink seems to negate your own idea.
I already eat mostly carnivore, so a bacon and egg fast isn’t much of a stretch since that’s all I eat a couple days a week anyway.
I can understand electrolyte supplementation (although I’ve found using s generous amount of Redmond salt seems to be plenty for me), and I’m not going to say you SHOULDN’T have your green drink, because I’m a believer in the “you do you” idea, but I would say that green drink pretty much negates the idea of the bacon and egg fast.
I’m aware of what you’re saying. It’s good to discuss. Well, I don’t think it negates it too much. With that and spinach, I can still hold at about 10g of carbs per day. Which to me, is still super low. That green drink is just too full of super nutrients.
Thinking about indeed switching to low salt Bacon and using the Real Salt I already have been using. As you know, it’s a form of pink Himilayan Salt and much, much better quality than what you’d get in bacon. Course I have to use up the 3 lbs of Oscar Mayer bacon I’ve already bought. lol It’s all good.

Again, you do you. But what you’re describing can’t really accurately be described as a bacon and egg fast. That title would suggest that bacon and eggs are the only thing you’re eating.
Check out the 4th sentence, 5th word in my original post in this thread. It was always there, not edited. I put that word in there because I knew I’d be adding spinach and green drink.

Back to bacon…I can see I’ll get tired of eggs before bacon. My 2nd meal, the bacon went so fast again.

My bad, you’re correct, you’ve said that from the beginning. I missed it, and so no, I won’t be trying your experiment because not only do I not think your green drink is necessary, it sounds disgusting.
I think a bacon and egg fast sounds like a cool idea, but that’s not what you’re describing.
What you’ve done is the equivalent of saying “I’m a vegan, outside of also eating one steak a say”
Sigh. I think with my method, I’ll be healthier at the end than most are. I should have named this thread, “How to Get Over Stalling Points and Stay Healthy”. Others should start their own threads titled “Let’s argue about the definition of a Fast”. lol

This bacon/egg fast really works and gets you beyond stall points. Just keep the net carbs under 20g. I’m having intermittent boosts of WOW energy throughout the most of the day.
No weight loss for 1 day Ash? That’ll happen many times. Is probably just some bacon and other harder to digest foods that are still in your colon. What I do, is take a Colon Cleanser ever few days, which pushes things on out more quickly. (it’s great fiber anyway, which we need) Then suddenly, you’ll be down maybe 2 more lbs! and possibly be feeling more energy having been cleaned out. There’s the old debate about John Wayne and Elvis and their colons. Stories about them having 20-40 lbs of old fecal matter still in their colons when they passed. I tend to believe it. People that don’t get enough fiber, and get really over weight, often have buildups in their colon. A year or so ago, when I first tried that colon cleanser above and some juice fasting, in the next 10 days, I had the blackest, weirdest stuff come out of me. And suddenly I dropped 5 lbs. I suspect 3 lbs of it was old fecal matter. John Rose, today’s modern guru, said he had about 20 lbs of that old, black fecal matter come out of him after doing colon cleanses. Since 10 days ago, starting on Keto, I’m down 7 lbs…probably 3 lbs of water. I’ll take it. Go Bacon and Green Drink.
I am starting a bacon and egg fast as of tonight, and I will be eating ONLY bacon and eggs and ONLY adding salt and salted butter for taste. I want to try this for a minimum of 3 days. I will extend it if it helps me either with losing a few pounds or if it suppresses my appetite so that I can be better prepared for a traditional no eating fast, as I have read this should help.
I’m an exacting perfectionist and I get why this bothers you; but most of today’s looseness of language drives me so I try to grit teeth and ignore (don’t always succeed). “Brekkie” and even “veggie” makes my skin crawl; are we all toddlers? And “nanners” (bananas)
doesn’t even make euphonic sense. (ok I’ll stop because I COULD go on and on).
