How much energy can you make from your own fat?

I remember someone saying that there is a maximum amount of energy you can convert from existing fat, I can’t seem to find those calculations. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks. This is exactly what I am looking for. Under resting conditions I need no supplementation during a fast however, while exercising I should/could add a small amount of fat.

Keep in mind Richard’s caveat that his calculations are somewhat of a guess. They’re a good guide, I believe, but given variability between individuals, I would not assume that you can precisely target specific numbers with that calculator. More of a starting point, and then listen to your body.

I just wanted to make sure I was generally right about some assumptions I had made. My weight is still high enough that I’ll have spare fat for a while knowing some of the underlying math is something I always like.
