So, I’m trying to source a large amount of bacon from my local meat markets. Everyone says the price is going to go up even higher than what it is.
What is the largest amount of bacon that you purchased at one time?

Fall 2016 I purchased 40 pounds at $1.99 per pound, sold in 5-pound packs. It didn’t last too long
I regularly buy 1kg packs from my local ethical butcher, they cure it themselves from happy organic pigs. I eat it all myself and can easily go through 1/2 a kilo a week.
Just thinking about bacon makes me hungry haha!
I purchased 3 lbs. at a time from Gordon Food Service (a.k.a. GFS) for about $10. Recently, the 3 lb. packages shot up to $14. Still not a bad deal.

I go thru about 2 to 3 pounds (1 to 1.4 kg) of the above uncured bacon ends per week. Wonderful stuff if you can find it.
I have bought from them before but it’s like once a quarter that they sell what you want which Is pretty inconvenient. Decent prices and quality though.
I bulk buy about 25 packs at a time from a local producer.
But I am also feeding a husband and two teenagers with pretty robust bacon habits.
