How many of you would say this?

I have a fantastic metabolism ! The only reason I have been obese for much of my life, is that I eat like pig ! I have eaten waaay too much, and all the wrong stuff (with the exception of 2010-2015, when I turned myself into a pro athlete)
I’m quickly seeing again, how lucky I am to be able to dump extra fat, with very little effort.
Anyway, I feel like I lost about 5 lbs, first thing this morning :slightly_smiling_face: lol… I’m sorry… But I feel like freaking Superman now :slightly_smiling_face:
Getting ready to climb around in the Sierra’s for several hours.
Kind of stoked to be starting with some 16 hr fasting too… Then later up to 20 or more hours. Working out the timing now.

Anyway, just to reiterate, I have no excuses my years of obesity, other than just eating like a fat pig !

PS, pretty miraculous to be hearing this from a guy that has Fibromyalgia for 32 years, huh

Pretty much me, too. There was never a mysterious reason why I was overweight. I ate way too much, of unhealthy things, and was totally sedentary.

Awesome :slightly_smiling_face:

And In fairness I probably should add I do understand that everybody is somewhat different. I’m sure there are some people who’s metabolisms do not ramp up so quickly and easily and for whom it is harder to lose fat. But I do believe that nearly everyone is capable of working hard enough to see substantial Improvement and be the best they can be with the body they were given.

This is really great, I am glad for you. Enjoy your Sierras trek!

What kind of pro-athlete?

I used to have a fabulous metabolism but over time I wrecked it! Lesson learnt, don’t take anything for granted!
Have a great time😊

This is pretty much me as well. I never had weight issues until I hit 30. It wasn’t until 4 yrs. ago I found this WOE. I now keep my weight under control a few lbs. below my goal weight, eat pretty much whatever I want to eat, and have lots of energy to get me through the day. I have better metabolism now than the previous 35 yrs.

Well just that kind of physical shape🙂 I could never throw, catch, or kick a ball to save my life ! (I know why, but it’s a long story)
Anyway, 4 years ago right before my back injury, I was weighing 227lbs @ 11% BF. I am 6ft tall. ! I had 29" thighs, that were as hard as wood, a 42" chest and a 33" waist. 5 yrs before that, I was 300lb obese trainwreck. It hurt me to walk across the house.

That’s awesome :slightly_smiling_face:

Again, I feel like my metabolism was always good… I just ate like a freaking pig, and all the wrong stuff. Honestly, I have a best friend that had been morbidly obese, and another who still is, and I’m positive they don’t eat more, or worse than I did ! I really should have been over 400 lbs myself.

Eating the wrong stuff is one the causes of overeating to begin with. The highly processed foods typical in the packaged foods people normally eat are known for creating hunger and reducing satiety, all the while raising insulin to boot!

Much the same here too, Chris. Eating was my recreation; glorying in all things excessive. My poor body was trying to fight off increasing insulin resistance for decade upon decade, and I was only gaining 5 lbs. per year, when many weeks should have had me go up that much. Certainly can’t complain…
