How long to wait after eating to test

Hi all
I’m trying to figure out what meals in town work for keeping me in ketosis, and which don’t. Just went out for chicken and ribs with salad and ranch (which should be fine but you never know) and I don’t know how many hours to wait after eating to test. Thanks if you know

Not sure but it would be different I imagine depending on what you’re testing. Breath urine or blood.
Also watch out for the BBQ sauces. Most are very carby.

Testing what? Blood Glucose or Blood Ketones? Or are you using the pee sticks, or a cheap breath test?

I alway try to wait 3 hours to get a good accurate blood glucose reading.

The meal was tasty, I ordered the very keto-most meal I could assemble from their menu, and I enjoyed it so no matter what, to me the results were good.
I rarely eat out in restaurants (once every 2 weeks?) and when I do I just do the best that I can and don’t worry about it. But I like to keep track to know to order that again, or don’t, you know?
