I have started doing 36 hour fasts 3 times per week, which means I’m not eating 65% of the time in a week. Doing KETO on the eating days with 20 grams of carbs max.
How long can I do this before it becomes unhealthy?

Keeping in mind that I am by no means an expert, I would say listen to your body!!! If your hungry, start to feel sick, light headed etc by all means, break your fast!!! I think that is one of the important elements to successful keto, learning to listen to your body!! Hope that helped!!!
Assuming that I follow that, then is it safe to keep doing 36 hours 3 times forever? More than a year?
I don’t see where it would be a problem… Waiting to hear what some of the others have to say!! Maybe you need to do a little more research to ease your mind and become fully aware!! Try the fasting section of conversations up here on the forum!!
I’ve found my ability to do those types of fasts has decreased over time (I get freezing cold lately). So, I’m limiting my fasts to less than 24 hours, temporarily. That took years, though. But I also did a variety of fasts, 4.5-5.5 days, 3-3.5 days, 36 hour etc. Was doing 36x2/week and 22x1/week.
I’m not sure I would describe 36 hours as intermittent fasting… I have been skipping breakfast so doing a variant of 16-8 - 18-6 for the past 3 years every day with more extended fasts rarely. Thats what I call intermittent fasting but I must admit weight loss has stalled (although over 100 pounds down) is that due to intermittent fasting and not enough feasting?.. not sure
Wow you’re my hero! I can’t answer your question but I admire your discipline and commitment
