How do we get notifications?

I’m sorry if I posted this in the wrong place. Is there a way to get notifications? There doesn’t appear to be an app for this so I have an icon on my desktop.

There is an app for both Android and iPhone that’s just called “Discourse” in the apps stores. Check out this thread for more info:
