How did I gain weight

I have been doing keto for 3 days and I have gained 2 lbs. is this normal?

Ton of factors it could be.

  1. You might be getting bit by hidden carbs, check labels.

  2. Could be lean mass (muscle and bone) which weighs more than fat.

  3. Scale is a terrible measure of fat loss.

  4. It’s been 3 days, you’re not adapted yet. Give it 90 days at least, or more.

  5. Others will weigh in (very terrible pun, sorry).

Yes normal, in that it’s not magical weight loss. As @dread1840 stated it could be your not eating correctly yet. Get those macro percentages correct and get fat adapted. It takes a good 3 months to really get the hang of the Ketogenic lifestyle and start really seeing results. There are times where my wife who is on it too tells me her weight hasn’t changed at all, but cause she measured herself she can tell that she loss inches around different parts of her body. Be patient, or as they say Keep Calm and Keto On. I try to eat less than 20 grams carbs, under 100 grams protein and the rest fat. Some people can eat more carbs, some have to stay real low on carb intake it’s a case by case situation.
