So I came back from the doctor and they said my hormones are fine but they are ordering additional tests.
My symptoms are:
Not able to lose weight
Migraines
Extreme night sweats
Oil on face
Bad periods
Do you think this a hormone thing?

Sounds like one to me! I’ve given up dairy for a month and all keto junk and lost only 2 lbs. I also workout daily.
Point being, if your hormones are out of whack, you won’t lose weight. It’s like a car, you have to fix it before it will work again.
Sadly, I’m going through the same issues as you and I suspect hormones. Tried everything else. I don’t lose weight like a normal person either despite insane efforts of trying.
Good luck to you and let us know what the results say!
Hang in there and remain positive that you will fix this and your body will start working properly!
Hmm I have:
not able to lose weight
night sweats
fatigue
brain fogginess
depression
moodiness
hair loss
hair thinness
HORMONE IMBALANCE
Get a second opinion.
Did they do an in depth thyroid assessment as well? I know I went through tons of lab work before, my hormone and thyroid numbers all fit within normal range but my symptoms clearly point to a hormonal issue. I really loved that my doc took the time & effort to help me understand that my vitamin D deficiency and insulin resistance play into each other and make every hidden hormonal imbalance so much worse! High body fat makes these issues worse because fat holds all that excess estrogen (but these issues make it hard to drop any weight). I would encourage anyone suffering these issues to have their Vitamin D levels and insulin checked!
Just wanted to add that my mom suffered similar symptoms for over a decade before developing type 2Diabetes and it was caused from low vitamin D (she was almost bottomed out completely) which triggered constantly high cortisol and thus diabetes, plus because she went undiagnosed for so long her hip bone is permanently twisted.
They did not do an in-depth rest, yet.
They ordered some hormone tests but not a hair analysis.
I will be taking the additional hormone test next week.
The only hair test my mom was ever offered was for metal toxicity (she had weirdly high levels of copper in her blood), so I am not familiar myself with hair testing for hormones, but I hope they can get it sorted out for you soon. Other than my Vit D deficiency and having MTHFR (which can be serious if you inherit 2 gene defects, but you’d most likely know if you ever tried Birth Control that had any hormones - I cannot take any hormones at all ever, my blood pressure goes off the chart and it becomes a stroke/blood clot risk).
I had a separate blood test for thyroid I think. That hair analysis is very thorough. It’s a company called https://www.evenbetternow.com
Basically think “rickets” only in an adult instead of a child. She had been to so many doctors over a decade complaining of severe bone pain in her hip and leg, everyone kept telling her what they would test her for if she wasn’t so young, told her she was too young to have diabetes/ms/hormonal imbalances etc. When she was finally diagnosed and had images done of her hip, she was told it would have taken 12-15 years for that damage which is permanent to take place. Had anyone tested her vitamin levels sooner, it could have been stopped and even reversed
PCOS is definitely something to test for, as well as endometriosis (or similar) if you have painful periods.
Look for high androgen levels, imbalance between estrogen and progesterone. Make sure your vit D is high enough. And eliminate all phytoestrogens from your life (both diet and other products).
If you want really good tests that actually say something about imbalances in sex hormones, you should take them at different times in your cycle too. You’d need an endocrinologist to be sure, they are the real experts on this. Bad periods would be a reason to ask for one.
