Hormonal imbalances

(Syeda) #1

Hey everyone Happy Sunday :dancer:

Just a quick question please, will hormonal imbalances cause slow weight loss ? And if yes will IF and keto reverse it or should I see a doctor

It certainly could. It could also cause weight gain. It depends. Keto will help, but some hormone inballances are caused by a bigger underlying problem, like a thyroid issue, that unless you get checked out by your doctor, it will be like swimming against the current trying to lose weight.

ofcource it does.

hormonal imbalances cause Polycystic ovary syndrome for women.

It causes weight gain and few other issues.

search the web.

Define “slow weight loss”. For example, a 12 lb fat. loss averaged over three months is totally reasonable. Anything over a two lb average for a week usually causes metabolic issues. Large initial weight losses are primarily due to glycogen depletion, hormonal adaptations, and electrolyte normalization, with fat loss being minor. For the heavily deranged and the obese, the initial period can last a fairly long time until these initial adaptations run their course.
