HongKong'ers Take Over Japan As Longest Living

(Davy) #1

“Hong Kong, the #1 longest lived country/city in the world, is a vegan’s nightmare because they ALSO eat the most meat in the world! Wait, what?” Their ave. age is about 85 years, with women almost 88 and men about 82. (USA is 47th in the world for longevity)
“Compare that to the most widely vegetarian country in the world, India, with an average lifespan of 69.5 years.”

DavyKOTWF: Okay, that’s it. I’m sticking with the Hong Kongers and Japanese.

Not for very long. Average life expectancy will probably be dropping precipitously over the next decade. The 20 year old student activists will bring that average down quickly (not that their deaths will be officially reported). Whats happening is horrifying and tragic, but the outcome is probably inevitable.

It’s a good reminder of how absurdly lucky we are when our biggest problem is dietary composition.

This (below) among other similar articles and research most likely explains the longevity i.e. the type (indigenous to China) and higher quality (indigenous to China) of resistant starch in there diet along with the meat? Although meat gets all the credit? They probably eat lots of marine life too?
