Has anyone experienced high levels of progesterone (with normal levels of estrogen)? No, I’m not pregnant
I’ve been keto since Nov and am responding really well to this WOE (no initial “flu” etc.); however, a recent blood test showed a very high level of progesterone which would explain the fatigue, water retention, etc that I have been experiencing lately. At first I thought I might be going through a late-onset Keto Flu and increased my salt and water consumption, but this just added to the fluid retention. Ho-hum.
Little bit of extra info: I have no life-threatening medical conditions or major weight goals, just here for NSVs, hormone health (I have a history of hypothalamic amenorrhea), and managing IBS-C.
So happy to have found this forum, it was the missing ingredient in my keto journey! Many thanks to the 2KD.
